Remember when the TravelCard (or I suppose our Oystercard) was called a CapitalCard? No, me neither - but love this ad of the Tube, bus & train as part of a plug powering your journey around London
Simon Hickman from English Heritage had said "South West Trains is replacing the poster boards on the footbridge stairs, and in removing the old ones has uncovered some historic late '70s / early '80s ones underneath. They're very well preserved."
The one for Gatwick Express is also pretty cool
It's funny how the designers thought they would show the Gatwick Express train upside down as the answer to their question.
Finally the detail in the poster for the merits of travelling by train rather than by plane is rather lovely
View it large to see captions like "Bigger seat space so your neighbour can't recline his head on your lap" and "Proper tables instead of pop out plastic postage stamps" and "See the country not the clouds".
