Two people were killed and several others injured after a gunfight broke out outside of a funeral at a church on Thursday, according to DeKalb County Police spokesperson Mekka Parish. The shooting occurred at the Victory for the World Church on North Hairston Road as people were leaving a funeral service for 19-year-old Ryan Devon Guider, who died after being shot on May 26.
"Gunshots went off everywhere and people were just running and falling. It was something else," said witness Craig Sharpe. Police believe that Marcus Ventress, the suspect in Guider's death, appeared at the church, which instigated a fight and subsequent shooting.
