ALLEGED COP KILLER JAMIE HOOD THROWN OUT OF THE COURTROOM, SAYS THE JUDGE IS TRYING TO HIDE THE TRUTH

Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5 Accused cop killer Jamie Hood's court appearance in Athens did not last long on Wednesday. Authorities allege that in March 2011, Hood shot and killed Athens-Clarke County Senior Police Officer Elmer "Buddy" Christian and injured another officer. FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor reports that as soon as the hearing started, Hood began by saying he did not want the three attorneys sitting at the defense table to represent him.

The judge asked Hood to quiet down or be removed. Hood refused and was escorted out of court, says Proctor. According to Proctor, as he was being escorted, Hood yelled to the Christian family, "They don't want you to know the truth." Hood's juvenile court records were released to the judge, who will decide if they are relevant to the case. If Hood is convicted, he could face the death penalty
