PREACHER'S LAUNCH A GUN BUYBACK PROGRAM AND NOBODY SHOWS UP TO TURN IN GUNS

A couple of Spartanburg pastors are hoping a new gun buyback program will aid in cleaning up the streets around their communities. Pastor Bunty Desors and Associate Pastor Andre Tate lead the congregation at New Life Ministries in Spartanburg, and on Wednesday, they held a second outreach initiative.

They set up a table during a 4th of July Celebration where people could have brought and sold their guns for anywhere between $25-100. The guns would have then been turned over to police. However, no one showed up at Wednesday's event, unlike the last event they had where they collected four guns.
