Miss California Pageant Sues Carrie Prejean

Carrie Prejean has caused quite the stir this past year and now she is making headlines again.

The Miss California USA pageant may have paid for Carrie Prejean's boobs the first time around, but now they want their cash back. According to E! News, K2 Productions, the company that directs the pageant, sued Prejean to ask that she reimburse them the $5,200 she received for her breast augmentation.

The new docs say, "Had [Prejean] heeded the guidance of the Gospel of John, who admonished only those who are without sin to cast stones in judgment, she might have avoided this legal battle."

As for the cross complaint, Lewis and the production company claim Prejean is a hypocrite, championing family values after posing for a variety of "semi-nude photos...[which] surfaced via TMZ.com."

Prejean lost her crown on June 10 for breaking the contract. She then went on to sue pageant officials, claiming they made her a target after giving her answer of opposing gay marriage.

She claimed they were guilty of slander, libel, religious discrimination, public disclosure of private facts and infliction of emotional distress, but it's only recently become clear that said private facts refer to the boob job.

The website TMZ is reporting that Carrie Prejean, aka Miss California, the beauty queen who survived a scandal over semi-naked photos and her controversial stand on same-sex marriage, will be fired Wednesday afternoon.

Pageant officials said Wednesday that the 22-year-old model was fired because of continued breach of contract issues— specifically for lending her famous face to other organizations without getting clearance from her handlers.

Prejeanpress Miss USA pageant owner Donald Trump was involved in the decision to fire Prejean, [spokesman Roger] Neal said. Runner-up Tami Farrell, who was Miss Malibu, will immediately assume the Miss California USA title, he said.

Said pageant Executive Director Keith Lewis: "This was a decision based solely on contract violations, including Ms. Prejean's unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization. After our press conference in New York, we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time, it has become abundantly clear that Carrie is unwilling to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together."
Prejean made headlines last month after several topless photos from her young modeling days hit the web.

Miss California Carrie Prejean could be stripped of her title after organisers say she breached her contract by keeping topless photos secret.

In April Ms Prejean made headlines at the Miss USA beauty pageant with her outspoken opposition to gay marriage, which she says cost her that title.

Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has assured pageant officials that a lingerie modeling photo published online this week is the only one she posed for, the state pageant director said.

But the Web site that published the first picture said it has several more that it will “slowly roll out” starting Wednesday afternoon.

The possibility that racier images could emerge prompted “closed-door meetings” Tuesday to consider stripping Prejean of her beauty queen title, pageant spokesman Ron Neal said.

Apart from not being up front over the semi-nude pictures which appeared on an internet site, organisers of the Miss California USA pageant say Carrie Prejean also breached her contract by appearing unauthorised in commercials.

Although Neal said Prejean “breached her contract” by keeping the semi-nude photo or photos a secret, the only picture published so far appears about as revealing as the bikini Prejean wore in the pageant’s swimsuit competition.
She described the publication of the pictures as an attempt to "openly mock me for my Christian faith".

"I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos," she said.

Last week Ms Prejean announced that she would star in new $1.5m ad campaign funded by the National Organization for Marriage, a group that is opposed to same-sex marriage.
