Meryl Streep for another Devil Wears Prada role, but weight permitting

Meryl Streep confirms she would reprise her role as Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada 2 - but would have to lose weight first.

So we're very excited to hear that Meryl Streep would reprise her screen-stealing role as the aforementioned 'Devil' and Runway editrix Miranda Priestly, should a silver-screen adaptation be made of Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns - although there is one issue currently standing between Streep and Priestley's sample-size Prada threads.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at Tuesday night's Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards - where she was feting fellow Oscar-winning actress and friend Viola Davis - Streep at first stumbled when questioned on the possibility of stepping back into Priestley's perfectly-polished shoes. "Yeah, no. No. Is there one? I've never heard about it," she said, before quickly adding, "But sure. I mean, I'd have to lose the f***ing weight, but yes, I guess I would do that."

So becoming Miranda Priestly once again may involve some serious method eating on Streep's part, but we think it will definitely be worth it.
