Why are TfL selling Jubilee Cake Decorations?

Why is TfL's online shop selling cake decorations for the Jubilee? Don't get me wrong I love cakes. I loved the Tube Map Cake produced for National Baking Week.  But these decorations (& a host of other Jubilee party stuff) aren't event transport related.  Unless you count a Royal Carriage as transport, but it's not exactly "public" transport is it?

They've not even tried to give the party product a transport related theme. "Our Diamond Jubilee street party packs have all you need to create a royal themed party and impress your guests. Each pack is designed for 12 party guests and designed to suit any budget." None of the images come from old London Transport posters either. It just seems a little bizarre!

I'm guessing it's because a shed load of tourists will be visiting TfL's site over the Jubilee period and some of the powers of be thought, let's grab a bit of that cash.

Maybe not, maybe they're going to branch out into selling cakes as a next step and this is just a trial run to see how well they will go.  Tube cakes could rock (see some of the links below) and I have just the perfect celebrity to promote them!
